It’s been a while since we’ve been in touch with you and a lot has been happening which we’d like to share with all our loyal members.  A special welcome to our new Loyalty Club members, we hope you will take full advantage of the offers.

News and updates

We are delighted to have received Scotland Food & Drink Excellence “Product of the Year” award for 2013 – the food industry Oscars and we were the stars – everyone in the business is still buzzing. Naturally we’ve given the trophy pride of place in the chocolate kitchen so you too can see it in the viewing area.

Iain and his team are busy with the new shape chocolates which are so much more elegant.  The  exciting news (as if we needed more!) is that we will be flying high from the beginning of October, in fact flying all around the world in all British Airways first class cabins …. If you are fortunate enough to be there we hope you will enjoy and please let us know about the experience!

Our chocolate kitchen team is expanding to cope with all the extra work – there’s plenty of training and the kitchen is a hive of activity.  Last year the guys produced over a million chocolates and this year they are about to add a third more again ….. that’s a lot of gourmet chocolate for us all to enjoy.

We’ve added more of Iain’s chocolate to the Coffee House menu so you can take pleasure in an iced chocolate drink as well as the full range of hot chocolate drinks including our rather special chocolate espresso.  Not to mention the mouthwatering range of cookies (why not try a Rocky Highland Road or Chocolate and Walnut brownie) and cakes with Iain Burnett’s rich chocolate cake or the new white chocolate cake.  All our chocolate products are freshly made on the premises.

Aberdeen

We are offering an opportunity for truffle and praline tastings in our Bon Accord island shop over the school holidays – Iain will be there on Thursday 25th July with a unique opportunity to match palate and product in a taste extravaganza.  There will be further opportunities on Saturday 3rd or 10th August and on Thursday 15th August to sample the experience.   Bookings are required as these can only be done in small groups.  To celebrate these events we’re offering a special 10% promotional discount.

Competition

As has become traditional it wouldn’t be a newsletter without a competition and what we would like to know is which award (other than Product of the Year) did we win this year?  A draw will be made from the correct answers on September 16th.  The winner will receive a chocolate hamper (worth £85) and a voucher for £30 which can be used in Gifts, Coffee House or on Iain’s chocolates.  Entries can be e-mailed or the tear off coupon can be returned to us.
